Workaround The workaround is to reconfigure the adapter, which causes the SAS Discovery process to be executed. The devices are then discovered and reported to the system. This workaround can be achieved by performing the following steps: AIX and VIOS Users: Select Diag --> Adv Diag Routines --> System Verification --> sissasX diag --> Task Selection --> Microcode Tasks --> Download Microcode --> sissasX SUSE or RHEL Users: Use the iprconfig command to flash microcode on to the SAS Controller. See the instructions in the microcode README file. |
